In 2011 Fortune Character’s considerable influence in the Chinese luxury market came to the attention of Dr. Zhou Ting of Beijing’s University of International Business and Economics and the two organisations embarked on a partnership to create China’s foremost luxury lifestyle research and consulting group.
November 2011 witnessed the release of the first China Luxury Report, examining the changing attitudes of elite Chinese consumers to the purchase of luxury brands. It created an immediate impact, providing completely new insights into the habits of the elite and becoming widely regarded as the definitive study. 2012 brought the first of the Fortune Character Institute’s sector-specific reports, including individual analyses of the wine, watch and automotive markets, as well as the second annual China Luxury Report. In 2015 the Institute plans to release 10 new studies, covering topics including yachting, aviation, health, art, real estate, jewellery and investments.
